FatPipe Networks Releases MPVPN Version 3.O -- The Industry's Only Device That Provides Fault Tolerance For VPN Infrastructures

MPVPN V3.0 Features Enhanced Load Balancing Methods and Route Management Tools

Salt Lake City, UT: February 12, 2003 - FatPipe Networks™, the inventor of router clustering devices for reliable, redundant and fast Internet/WAN connections, announces the release of MPVPN™ version 3.0, which features enhanced load balancing options and several improvements to its route management technologies.

"Incorporating these new innovations into our MPVPN product line will have an immediate impact on our customers' ROI, by giving them greater control of their networks, higher levels of security and speed of data transmission, and the highest level of VPN redundancy," said Ragula Bhaskar, Ph.D., President and Chief Executive Officer of FatPipe Networks.

FatPipe MPVPN is designed specifically to support VPN infrastructures as enabling technology, providing the highest level of redundancy, reliability, security, and speed for VPN tunnels. FatPipe is the first to market with a device that provides redundancy on VPN paths as well as additional security for bidirectional IP data transmissions over multiple connections using its patented Multi-Path Security technology (MPSecä). MPSec achieves up to nine times more security of data transmission than a single connection. MPVPN is available in three speeds, 155 Mbps, 50Mbps, and 2Mbps.

MPVPN's core functionality bonds any combination of multiple T3, E3, T1, E1, DSL, Cable or Wireless connections to create a virtual "fatpipe" for aggregate speed. MPVPN also provides fault tolerance over multiple ISPs and backbones, without BGP programming or additional proprietary equipment needed at the ISP site.

New Feature Set
Fault Tolerance for Remote VPN Users: FatPipe MPVPN 3.0 uses an enhanced feature that provides redundancy for remote VPN clients using IPSec, PPTP, and several other custom encryption algorithms, ensuring connectivity even when a WAN line fails.

Enhanced Load Balancing Methods: Enhanced load-balancing options for Internet traffic as well as MPVPN peer traffic.

Enhanced Route Control Tools: MPVPN 3.0's improved routing options give Administrators greater control over IP traffic delivery, where they can define routing criteria based on application and provider.

Fully Supports SNMP MIB-II: MPVPN 3.0 now fully supports SNMP MIB-II, and features enhanced SmartDNS functionality.
