FatPipe Networks receives a patent that protects the tools and techniques used to direct IP packets over disparate networks -- providing increased speed, security and "seven-nines" redundancy -- via FatPipe IPVPN
Salt Lake City, UT: September 1, 2004 - FatPipe Networks™, the inventor of router clustering devices for reliable, redundant and fast Internet/Wide Area Network (WANs) connections, announced today that it has successfully secured its fourth patent. The US patent, number 6,775,235, is associated with FatPipe's IPVPN product, a router clustering device that is designed to provide fault tolerance, additional speed and security for any type or any combination of private and/or public WANs serving medium to large size companies that require these services for mission critical data transmission deployed over WANs.
The patent protects the methods and tools created by FatPipe that allow customers to direct IP packets over disparate networks while achieving the highest level of redundancy and speed of data transmission for their networks. The patented technology can load balance IP traffic by bonding two or more data connections of similar or dissimilar type for combined speed, and also provide automatic failover to available data lines should one fail due to a router, ISP, last mile or component failure.
