For Immediate Release
SALT LAKE CITY, UT--(Marketwire - 04/20/11) - FatPipe Networks™, the inventor and holder of eight patents and 168 claims for multiline WAN redundancy and load balancing products, announces today that information posted in a press release by Daren French of XRoads Networks on April 12, 2011 is factually misleading and inaccurate.
Daren French of XRoads Networks stated in the press release that it had "...just recently been provided with documentation in which FatPipe Networks, Inc. states that XRoads Networks does not appear to infringe on its '143 patent." The referenced document was served upon XRoads on September 18, 2009, and before XRoads produced additional source code as a result of FatPipe obtaining two court orders requiring XRoads to produce the source code. In connection with the Court ordering XRoads to produce additional code, court sanctions were issued against XRoads Networks, and FatPipe was awarded attorney's fees. The 2009 document is not FatPipe's position. FatPipe's position is that XRoads is infringing FatPipe patent no. 7,269,143 as well as FatPipe patent no. 7,444,506. FatPipe is continuing its case against XRoads Networks for patent infringement.
XRoads Networks has also stated that it recently filed a motion against FatPipe. FatPipe will vigorously dispute the motion and allegations contained therein, which FatPipe feels are baseless.
Furthermore, FatPipe recently announced it obtained another patent. The U.S. Patent, No. 7,877,510, titled, "Domain Name Resolution Making IP Address Selections in Response to Connection Status when Multiple Connections are Present," is related to DNS technology for automatic inbound load balancing and failover, a core patent for multiline ISP link load balancing.
FatPipe's intellectual property includes seven other U.S. Patents in the field of multiline redundancy and load balancing technology: No. 6,493,341, No. 6,253,247, No. 6,295,276, No. 6,775,235, No. 7,269,143, Patent No. 7,444,506, and U.S. Patent No. 7,406,048.
2009 marks the 10th anniversary of the award and associated women’s business day luncheon. The awards luncheon was held on April 23, 2009 at the Grand America and presented by the Utah Business magazine and Wells Fargo Bank.
FatPipe Networks will actively enforce the protection of its patents to the full extent of the law from companies that practice any of the patent claims. Companies concerned about possible patent infringements can call Sanchaita Datta at FatPipe Networks.
About FatPipe Networks
FatPipe Networks is the inventor and multiple patents holder (8 patents and 168 claims) of technology that provides the highest levels Internet/Wide Area Network (WAN) reliability, fault tolerance, redundancy, security and acceleration. FatPipe's line of products cover an array of features and benefits for companies that run mission critical Internet/WAN applications over any type of network infrastructure, including Data Centers and Disaster Recovery sites. Customer benefits include up to seven-nines WAN redundancy, reliability, and speed; dynamic load balancing, Quality of Service (QoS), and additional security; as well as data compression, and IPSec capabilities.
FatPipe is the most innovative creator of WAN redundancy technology, router clustering, which affords companies automatic and dynamic failover of a downed data line connection due to a WAN component or service failure, thus achieving business continuity. FatPipe technology also supports companies by giving them the tools to optimize their network using QoS, data compression, policy routing, and additional security.
FatPipe's core patented and patent-pending technology provides methods that enable high-speed data transfer through multiple lines, multiple ISPs, and backbones over the Internet or other WANs with seamless re-assembly of data streams. FatPipe holds eight patents for its security feature, MPSec, and for its Redundant Array of Independent Lines (RAIL) technology, which aggregates data lines over multiple ISPs and backbones without BGP programming.
